International Peace Day

Caritas Pakistan Lahore organized a Peace Walk followed by an awareness program on the occasion of International Peace Day in Narowal city on September 21, 2016. Pigeons and balloons were flown in the air at the inauguration of Peace Walk.

People from different walks of life like students, teachers, youth, members of civil society organizations, members of Youth and School Peace Clubs, members of line departments, community leaders and community members participated in this walk. .

     

The purpose of this walk was raising awareness for peace among community. The walk was led by Rev. Fr. Joseph Shahzad (Diocesan Executive Secretary – Caritas Pakistan Lahore), Rev. Fr. Bernard Emmanuel (Parish Priest – Narowal Parish) and Mr. Rojar Noor Alam (Diocesan Program Coordinator/Head Operations – Caritas Pakistan Lahore).
